چکیده

Analysis of the Luedeking-Piret model during the oxidative respiration to respirofermentative transition in a consortium grown in a chemostat revealed a significant increase in a parameter (β) of the Luedeking-Piret model in butyrate production. These data implied the possibility of improved capacity for cellular metabolites production under some culture conditions. Additionally, the parameter β was positively associated with a dilution rate above the critical dilution rate, suggesting the potential for enhancing industrial processes production using prokaryotes. Mathematical model of Chlorella minutissima UTEX2341 growth and lipid production under photoheterotrophic fermentation conditions.

To reduce the cost of algal biomass production, mathematical model was developed for the first time to describe microalgae growth, lipid production and glycerin consumption under photoheterotrophic conditions based on logistic, Luedeking-Piret and Luedeking-Piret-like equations. All experiments were conducted in a 2 L batch reactor without considering CO(2) effect on algae's growth and lipid pr...

Effect of Temperature and pH on Formulating the Kinetic Growth Parameters and Lactic Acid Production of Lactobacillus bulgaricus

Background and Objectives: Lactobacillus delbrueckii ssp bulgaricus is widely used in dairy industries as a starter for yogurt production. This study was designed using response surface methodology (RSM) in 12 batch pH-controlled cultures of Lactobacillus delbrueckii sub-ssp. bulgaricus for determining the effect of temperature and pH on the biomass production of a native strain of L. bulgaricu...

Evaluation of medium components by Plackett-Burman statistical design for lipase production by Candida rugosa and kinetic modeling.

Lipase production by Candida rugosa was carried out in submerged fermentation. Plackett-Burman statistical experimental design was applied to evaluate the fermentation medium components. The effect of twelve medium components was studied in sixteen experimental trials. Glucose, olive oil, peptone and FeCl3.6H2O were found to have more significance on lipase production by Candida rugosa. Maximum...

StatisticalEvaluationofMediumComponentsUsingPlackett-BurmanExperimental Design and Kinetic Modeling of Lipase Production by Bacillus sphaericus

Evaluation of twelve medium components on lipase production by Bacillus sphaericus MTCC511 in submerged batch fermentation was studied using the Plackett-Burman statistical experimental design. The most significant variables affecting lipase production were found to be glucose, olive oil, peptone, NaCl and MnSO4 · H2O. Maximum lipase activity of 2.82 U ml–1 was obtained in the batch fermentatio...

Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery, Wettability Alteration and Interfacial Tension Reduction by an Efficient Bacterial Consortium, ERCPPI-2

In the present study, the potential of a bacterial consortium of Enterobacter cloacae and Pseudomonas sp. (ERCPPI-2) for microbial enhanced oil recovery was investigated. Various mechanisms of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) as a result of using ERCPPI-2 and its metabolic products were studied in detail. The obtained results showed that under simulated reservoir ...
